Episode Summary

Part 1 of a two part treatment of Psalm 89. At first, the Psalm praises God for divine power expressed over creation and God’s everlasting covenant with King David. So far, so good. Then, the Psalm becomes a lament, which is not uncommon. Many Psalms lament this, that, or the other misfortune being experienced. As we shall soon see, this lament is against God for breaking the covenant made with David.
