Episode 70 - The (Samaritan) Woman at the Well: Part II

Episode Summary

Once the woman has headed back to town, Jesus engages the disciples. He gives them a little lesson about farming! To get to the harvest, many tasks are involved. Obviously, Jesus is not talking about agriculture, but about people. At the end of the story, the townsmen to whom the woman had spoken went to see Jesus for themselves. They noted that their belief now relied not only on what the woman had said but what they had confirmed for themselves. This story was, in a way, about a “Samaritan ministry.” In this case, the “harvest” was the Samaritan, who were outcasts in the eyes of a majority of Jews.
