What was the Bible called during Jesus’ era? In this episode, we will take a look at the origins of the Old Testament and the different names it had during the time Jesus lived.
Jesus’ Bible is what Christians eventually called the Old Testament. But that term was not used when Jesus was walking on the earth! In fact, Christians began to use the term Old Testament only after they had come to regard the documents making up the New Testament as scripture.
So what did Jesus and the religious community at the time call Jesus’ Bible?
